How to Install It

Open the Chrome Web Store listing.
Click Add to Chrome, then confirm.
Pin it: click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and press the pin next to YTPrint, so the button stays visible.

Step three is the one people skip. Without it Chrome hides the button behind the puzzle icon and the extension feels like it did not install.

Extension or Website: Which Should You Use?

Both use the same downloader, so quality and formats are identical. The difference is where you are standing when you decide to download something.

What It Does Not Do

Worth saying plainly, because extensions have a deserved reputation.

It does not work on mobile. Chrome on Android and iOS does not support extensions at all. On a phone, use the website.
It does not download from sites other than YouTube. For TikTok or Instagram, use the TikTok downloader or the Instagram downloader on the site.
It cannot bypass anything. Private, members-only, purchased and DRM-protected videos stay unavailable, exactly as they are on the website.

Is a YouTube Downloader Extension Safe?

The honest answer is that it depends entirely on the extension, and the category has a bad history. Downloader extensions have been caught injecting adverts, swapping affiliate links and reading pages they had no reason to read. Two things are worth checking before you install any of them, ours included.

Read the permissions Chrome shows you. A downloader needs access to the tab you are on. It does not need to read and change data on all websites, and it does not need your browsing history. If the prompt asks for more than the job requires, that is the moment to stop.

Check that a real site stands behind it. An extension with no website, no support address and no way to contact anyone is a bad bet regardless of its rating.
