How to Download from Instagram
Copy a public Instagram link, or enter a username for a profile picture. The downloader checks the content and shows every available item before anything is saved.
Copy a link or username
Open a public post, Reel, Story or profile. Use Share and Copy link, or enter the profile username.
Paste and check
Paste it above and select Find Downloads. We show the photos, videos or profile picture that are available.
Save your files
Download one item, or save a multi-item carousel as a ZIP file. Your browser uses its normal Downloads folder.
Supported Instagram Links and Usernames
The tool supports public Instagram content that can be checked without asking for your Instagram password.
| Instagram content | Example path | Available download | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public Reel | /reel/… | Video in the available source format, normally MP4 | Supported |
| Public post | /p/… | Single photo or video in the available source format | Supported |
| Public carousel | /p/… | Individual photos/videos or all available items in one ZIP | Supported |
| Active Story | /stories/user/ID/ | One available photo or video from a direct Story link | Supported |
| Profile picture | Profile URL, username or @username | The available public profile image | Supported |
| Legacy public IGTV video | /tv/… | Video when Instagram still exposes the legacy link | Supported |
Important limits
- Stories require a direct active Story item link. A profile link does not identify a Story.
- Private, deleted, expired, region-restricted or login-required content cannot be accessed.
- A username or profile URL returns the available profile picture only. It does not download an account's posts.
One Instagram Download Workflow
Use the same page for public posts, Reels, carousels, active Stories and profile pictures.
Content detection
The tool identifies the available photo, video, carousel, Story or profile picture before showing download buttons.
Carousel ZIP
Download carousel items one by one or save all available photos and videos in one ZIP file.
Browser-based
Use the same page in Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge on phones, tablets and computers.
Where Your Instagram Download Is Saved
iPhone and iPad
Safari normally saves videos to the Downloads folder in the Files app. To add one to Photos, open the file, tap Share and choose Save Video.
Android
Chrome normally saves the file to Downloads. Open it from the browser download notification, Files app or your device gallery.
Windows and Mac
Your browser uses its configured Downloads folder. If it asks where to save, choose a folder and confirm the filename.
Instagram Download Not Working?
Most failures come from the link or the post’s visibility. These checks solve the common cases without sharing any account credentials.
“Invalid Instagram link or username”
Use a full public post, Reel, direct Story or profile link. For profile pictures, you can also enter the username with or without @.
“Private or login required”
Open the link in a private browser window. If Instagram asks you to sign in, this tool cannot access it. We do not accept passwords or session details.
The post was public but stopped working
The creator may have deleted or restricted it, Instagram may be temporarily limiting access, or the media may not be available in your region. Wait and try the original link again later.
The file downloaded but is hard to find
Check your browser’s Downloads list first. On iPhone, look in Files rather than Photos; on Android and desktop, check the Downloads folder.

Is this Instagram downloader free?
Yes. You can check and download supported public Instagram Reels and posts without creating a YouTubePrint account.
Can I download from a private Instagram account?
No. Private and login-restricted content is not publicly accessible, and YouTubePrint never asks for your Instagram credentials.
Does YouTubePrint add a watermark?
YouTubePrint does not add a watermark. Any creator-added username, logo, caption or watermark already embedded in the source remains part of the file.
Can I download photos, carousels and Stories?
Yes. Paste a public post link to save a photo or carousel. For a Story, paste its direct active Story item link. Private, deleted and expired content cannot be accessed.
Can I use an Instagram username?
Yes. Enter a username, @username or profile URL to save the available public profile picture. This does not download the account's posts.
What quality will the downloaded file have?
The downloader saves the media format and quality made available from the public post. It cannot create a higher-resolution version than the source Instagram provides.
