How to Download TikTok Videos on PC and Mac
Most TikTok guides assume you are on a phone. Downloading on a computer is actually easier, because you get a real file manager, a proper address bar and somewhere sensible to put the file. Here is the whole process on Windows and Mac, plus the desktop-only details that trip people up.
Open the TikTok video in your browser, copy the URL from the address bar, paste it into the TikTok downloader and click Fetch, then Download. The MP4 lands in your Downloads folder with no watermark, free and with no software to install.
Getting the link on a computer
You do not need the app or an account. Open tiktok.com in any browser and find the video. Two ways to get its link:
- From the address bar. Click the video so it opens on its own page, then copy the whole URL. It looks like
tiktok.com/@username/video/1234567890. - From the Share button. Click Share under the video, then Copy link. This works from the feed without opening the video.
