About YouTubePrint
YouTubePrint is a free, browser-based tool for saving publicly available video and audio from YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. There is no account, no software to install and no paid tier. This page explains who runs it, how it actually works, what it deliberately will not do, and how we write the guides.
What this site is
YouTubePrint is run by Pratik. It started as a small personal project to solve one annoyance: wanting to keep a video for offline viewing without installing a desktop app or wading through a site covered in fake download buttons. It grew into a set of focused tools, each doing one job.
Everything runs in your browser. You paste a public link, our server fetches that media, and the file is streamed back to you. That is the whole product.
How it actually works
When you paste a link, our backend asks the platform for the media the same way a browser would, then hands the resulting file to you. A few specifics worth being clear about, because most sites in this category are not:
- We do not host or re-upload anything. Files are fetched on demand and served to you. We are a pipe, not a library.
- Nothing needs an account. We never ask for a platform login, and no legitimate downloader should. If any site asks for your Google, TikTok or Instagram password to save a public video, close the tab.
- Downloaded files are temporary. A short-lived cache exists so that a video several people request at once is fetched once rather than repeatedly. Entries expire automatically and are not browsable by anyone.
- Quality is capped by the source. We serve the original upload rather than re-encoding it, so if a creator uploaded at 720p, 720p is the honest ceiling. We do not upscale and then call it 4K.
What we will not do
These are deliberate product limits, not missing features:
- Private accounts and private posts. The tools work on public content only, by design. This is not a limitation we intend to remove.
- Bypassing paywalls, DRM or age verification. Not supported, and not on the roadmap.
- Fake download buttons or disguised installers. The site is ad-supported, and those ads pay the server bills, but we do not use deceptive buttons that look like part of the tool.
Copyright, and being straight about it
A downloader is a neutral tool, and what you do with a file is what matters. Saving something for your own offline viewing is very different from re-uploading it as your own work or using it commercially. The second one is not okay, and it is not something a tool can make okay.
We maintain a DMCA page and act on valid takedown requests. If you are a rights holder, that page is the fastest route to us. We would rather be reachable than hard to find.

Privacy
We do not require an account, so there is no profile to build. We keep aggregate analytics to understand load and reliability, and the ads on the site are served by a third-party network which sets its own cookies. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
How we write the guides
YouTubePrint is built and run by Pratik, who also writes the guides. They are written in-house rather than outsourced or generated in bulk. The working rules:
- We test the steps on the actual devices before publishing, which is why the guides say things like "on iPhone the file lands in Files, not Photos" rather than a generic instruction that does not match reality.
- We say when something will not work. Every guide has a section on the cases that fail, because a guide that pretends everything always works is useless the moment it does not.
- We do not inflate claims to sell a click. If 320kbps cannot improve audio that the platform already compressed, the guide says so, even though a bigger number would market better.
- We update rather than repost. Platforms change constantly; guides carry a visible last-updated date.
